UmbraRP

About

UmbraRP is an international roleplay community running a fully custom framework written from scratch for performance. Its website stands out for its emphasis on civilian life: a profession system with progression trees and minigames for both legal and criminal careers, custom housing interiors, an encounter system and hundreds of custom clothing items, props, vehicles and interiors. It also mentions custom audio occlusion, so sound behaves realistically through walls and rooms. The server is public, with no whitelist, though its name asks players to join the Discord to play. On 15 October 2026 the city had about 121 players, and the Discord had about 10,400 members with nearly 4,800 online. Umbra is a good choice if you want to play a mechanic, a business owner or another legal career and actually have something to do, rather than drift into crime because the city offers nothing else. Its international community means activity is spread across time zones.
